This spring, we were honored to host the third event in our growing McClurg Kitchen Series, and with each gathering, we continue to be reminded how meaningful it is to welcome our client community back to our Design Center.
What began as a simple idea centered around gathering in the kitchen has quickly become one of our favorite ways to reconnect with the people who make our work so rewarding. We have truly enjoyed opening our Design Center for evenings focused on conversation, inspiration, and community, and we are excited to continue growing the series throughout the year.
Our March Kitchen Series, Thoughtful Planning for a Spring-Ready Home, brought together two of our wonderful community partners, nutritionist Emily Gozy of Nourished with Emily and Denise Cianciosi of DECOR Fabrics & Design, for an evening designed to inspire intentional living from the kitchen and throughout the home.
Fresh Inspiration in the Kitchen
Guests gathered in the kitchen with Emily Gozy, who shared fresh, colorful recipes inspired by spring ingredients and simple, healthy preparation. Throughout the evening, Emily demonstrated approachable ways to bring seasonal ingredients into everyday meals, even during a kitchen renovation.
From vibrant produce to easy meal preparation ideas, the kitchen portion of the evening reflected the feeling of spring itself; fresh, welcoming, and full of energy.
Bringing Spring Into the Home
Following the kitchen presentation, guests were invited to explore different areas of the Design Center, thoughtfully styled by Denise Cianciosi of DECOR Fabrics & Design.
Denise transformed spaces throughout the showroom with spring-inspired florals, wallpaper, decorative pillows, fabrics, and window treatments, offering ideas for refreshing the home in simple and approachable ways. Each area highlighted how small changes in texture, color, and layering can help create spaces that feel lighter, brighter, and ready for a new season.
Guests were encouraged to move throughout the showroom, ask questions, gather ideas, and take inspiration back into their own homes.
A Space to Gather
The McClurg Kitchen Series continues to be one of our favorite ways to reconnect with clients, partners, and community members outside of the remodeling process itself. While we spend much of our work creating spaces for gathering, these evenings allow us to actually gather together in them.
We are incredibly grateful to Emily Gozy and Denise Cianciosi for sharing their time, creativity, and expertise with our guests, and to everyone who joined us for such a meaningful evening of conversation, inspiration, and connection.
