Project Type: Kitchen Remodel and Bath Remodel
Location: Syracuse, NY
Project Consultant: Kristie Grande
Lead Carpenter: Dave Woodin
Before:
Our repeat clients came to us with a kitchen that felt heavy and outdated — dark wood cabinets and a small, closed-off feeling. One thing they loved? A beautiful, original stained glass window over the stove, they absolutely wanted to keep.
The Goal:
The goal was to create a kitchen that felt fresh, bright, and uniquely personal, while making the space more open, functional, and reflective of the homeowner’s eclectic style.
As part of the redesign, we relocated the adjacent bathroom further into the next room. This allowed for a more open layout and made space for a new counter with seating for two. With the bathroom move came an opportunity for a full update, including all-new finishes and thoughtful vintage touches sourced by the homeowner herself.

What we did:
-
Replaced the kitchen's worn cabinetry with custom, sunny yellow cabinets.
-
Installed new butcher block countertops for a warm, natural feel.
-
Relocated and updated the adjacent bathroom, opening up the kitchen and allowing more functionality.
-
Preserved and highlighted the original stained glass window as a centerpiece of the design.
Special Details:
The client sourced her own glass cabinet pulls and a vintage towel holder for the newly updated bathroom, which now features vibrant wallpaper that is full of personality. Every choice reflected her eye for style and love of colorful, joyful spaces.
The Result:
What was once dark and dated is now full of light, warmth, and individuality — a true reflection of the client’s creative spirit. We were honored to help bring her clear vision to life and to continue a trusted relationship through another successful project.
