McClurg Remodeling and Construction Services has received the Chairman's Award of Excellence from the National Commercial Builder Council (NCBC). McClurg received the award in the Division 1 - Medical category for its construction of a new dental office for Dr. Gregory Mohr, D.D.S., at 8179 Cazenovia Road in Manlius, NY.

The Award of Excellence recognizes achievements in the national commercial building industry in design, market appeal, energy efficiency, challenges faced during building, and overall success of the project. McClurg's winning project will be featured in:

  • NBN Online, distributed to over 215,000 members of NAHB
  • Commercial Builder magazine, read by over 10,000 commercial builders
  • The International Builders' Show in Orlando, FL, in February 2008

"The McClurg Team is pleased and honored to receive national recognition of its efforts," says Brian Ciota, Vice President of McClurg. "We are very proud of this project and delighted to have won such a prestigious award. This award reflects the skills and talents of our employees as well as our commitment to innovation in design and construction."

Following Dr. Mohr's vision of an Adirondack lodge styled office, McClurg designed the exterior to blend with the bordering residential neighborhood. The interior incorporates natural materials, including a stone fireplace and granite reception counter, with an efficient working environment and the latest dental technology. McClurg also installed energy efficient mechanical systems throughout the building, as well as radiant heat in the sidewalks leading to the entryways.

"Not only has the appeal of this building added to our success in attracting patients and employees, but people often stop in just to see the inside of the building," says Dr. Mohr.

Headquartered in Marcellus, NY, McClurg has served the remodeling and construction services needs of Central New York homeowners and commercial customers for more than 27 years. Its commercial business specializes in constructing, renovating and remodeling dental, medical and veterinary offices. For more information visit
