We wrapped up October with two Halloween celebrations, one right here in Marcellus and another with our friends at David’s Refuge. Our team got to carve a few pumpkin houses, hand out candy, and spend time with local families.
For our first McClurg Pumpkin House Carving Contest, we asked our team to turn pumpkins into houses. We brought their creations to Marcellus Boo Fest, displayed them alongside our Haunted Building Corner, and invited neighbors and trick-or-treaters to vote for their favorite.
It was fun to see families stop by, look closely at each pumpkin house, and decide which one got their vote. Thank you to Marcellus Together for bringing our village together for Boo Fest, and to everyone on our team who carved a house or helped welcome families.
We were honored to join David’s Refuge for its Halloween Celebration at the Hal Welsh YMCA. The event gave kiddos and their families a place to trick-or-treat indoors, and we were happy to be one of the stops along the way.
Thank you to David’s Refuge for inviting us to hand out candy and be part of the celebration. We’re grateful to both organizations for making time for families to gather, dress up, and have a little Halloween fun together.
