Light, Warmth, and Welcome: A Kitchen Transformation in Skaneateles, NY

After many years in Watertown, NY, this couple decided it was time for a change. With one of their three sons living in Skaneateles, they chose to relocate there to be closer to family. Their other sons helped from afar as the couple settled in and began making updates to their new home.

The Vision

The homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt lighter, more open, and ready for everyday life. Their existing space was dark and dated, with heavy cabinetry, old wallpaper, and worn linoleum floors.

The Transformation

Our team reimagined the space by replacing the dark dated cabinets with light-stained maple that instantly brightened the entire room. The new cabinet layout was simplified for a cleaner look and easier flow, and one wall was adjusted to open up the room and create a better connection to the rest of the home. With new finishes, fixtures, and flooring, the space now feels lighter, more comfortable and much more inviting.

The Result

The finished kitchen feels fresh and timeless, a perfect reflection of the couple's new beginning in Skaneateles. It's now a welcoming space where they can cook together, host family visits, and enjoy the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.
