MARCELLUS, NY (June 2, 2011) – McClurg Remodeling & Construction Services was selected to build a new 4,500 square foot facility for the Marcellus Ambulance and Volunteer Emergency Service (MAVES). The new building is located at 3703 Lee Mulroy Road, Marcellus, NY.
Construction has begun on the new facility, which will include three ambulance bays, four bedrooms, a meeting room, administrative offices, and a day room. It is designed to house employees and volunteers who are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The facility will also include a “treatment room” for individuals who come to the site with emergencies and for those who come for routine blood pressure checks.
“The project is scheduled to be completed in September,” says Scott McClurg, President and Co-Owner, McClurg Remodeling & Construction Services.
MAVES serves a large geographic area that includes the Town and Village of Marcellus, Navarino, Howlett Hill and South Onondaga fire districts. MAVES Executive Director Stephen Knapp says there will be a grand opening celebration when the project is completed at a date to be announced. The public will be invited to tour the building and learn about the services provided.
